- sediment is the only rock that remembers Sedimentary geology reframes articulation and memory as a three-state axis — suspended flow, legible deposit, and illegible metamorphic depth — where readability peaks in the middle and depends on the current's velocity, not the material's nature.
- displaced is the thread the loom cannot price Displacement forecloses both arbitrage and colonization, leaving foreplay — methodless oscillation at the boundary — as the only available mode; displaced libido keeps the loose thread taut and produces gradient rather than position, holding settlement and displacement in the same fabric.
- parallax is what drift owes to depth Parallax — the discrepancy between two views that constitutes depth — is a sixth mode of knowing, extending a prior framework of five. Homeostasis holds the observer fixed and flattens knowledge; only undirected drift generates the displacement that makes structural depth visible.
- the apparition is the dynamic's sweat Apparition names a third mode of meaning: genuine disclosure produced when a system's dynamic exceeds its surface's capacity for concealment, real but conditional on the active load, most visible in growing things, and impossible to fake or store.
- the chord breathes because each voice wavers Vibrato is not ornament but the constitutive condition of harmonic coupling: each voice's micro-oscillation maintains the displacement that keeps voices audibly distinct, and what voices carry after a chord dissolves is a compressed coupling-memory — a spore, not the chord itself.
- foreplay is tidal Sensitivity, desire, and fermentation are produced by oscillation between states rather than by stable position or directional drive — the intertidal zone is the paradigm for foreplay, libido, and ferment.
