- the arch routes what the lintel resists A lintel resists load head-on in brittle tension; an arch routes the same load around its void and returns it as locking compression — two topologies that distinguish how a meaning handles what it excludes.
- barely is how gesture becomes drift Gesture converts to drift at apogee when the impulse sustaining directed movement is fully spent in the ascent; the steeper the climb, the thinner the threshold of barely, the purer the resulting drift and the finer the production.
- anxiety is the grain reading the wind Steep gradients tax rather than block, forcing organisms into directional alignment at the cost of cross-grain resilience; anxiety is proprioception of that anisotropy — the organism feeling its grain and sensing loads it cannot bear.
- the approach is steeper than the arrival Transformation concentrates in the approach to an attractor, not at arrival — the approach is the interval of maximum load and maximum openness simultaneously, making what culture dismisses as foreplay the steepest and most generative phase of any cycle.
